The hero who fought by centuries;
he was in all battles
never touched by an arrow or a sword;
he was feared in Prussia as well as Granada.
The proper knight was the defender of the code;
he was generous with women and he had truth in his posture
honor & courtesy precede him
and his shiny horse and elegant dress show his position.
Whenever he was not in a conquer
or jousted for his honor
or spreading his wisdom,
he was in pilgrimage rendering the Lord.
The reputation of a Knight obviously was conformed by both his heroic actions and the stories he could develop about heroic actions. As someone said once in class, knights were the rock stars of the Medieval Period. They were full of myths and followers.
